Arsenal Alexandre Lacazette has not ruled out leaving Lyon this summer
The 22-year-old striker has been in superb form this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions and attracting interest from two of the Premier League’s giants.
The French international could be a useful signing for both clubs as they chase new signings upfront, with Arsenal having to rely solely on Olivier Giroud for much of this season, and with Liverpool facing the possible departure of star striker and Real Madrid target Luis Suarez in the summer transfer window.
There were suggestions that he could move in January, though a deal never materialised and speculation is expected to continue in the summer.
Lacazette insists he is fully focused on Lyon for now, and on continuing his form for the rest of this current season, though he admitted he could be tempted to move if an offer comes in for him in the coming months.
He insists, however, that he will not hold his club to ransom and negotiations would be aimiable.
“Everything is going well at the moment,” he said. “Afterwards I’m sure that if there really is a club that is interested in me we will discuss it.
“But I do not think we will clash. It will be discussed between men and discussed intelligently.” (SportsDirectNews)
It will be interesting to see just where he ends up
