Arsenal target Robin van Persie will quit Manchester United at the end of the season, according to Ronald de Boer.
The Dutch legend says Van Persie has become disillusioned with life at Old Trafford under the management of David Moyes, and the striker could well leave when the window re-opens.
And reports have linked him with a shock return to Arsenal, who are short of world-class strikers and would love to have the Dutchman back
As quoted on the Metro website, De Boer said: “Robin feels that, unless there is investment in new, young, great players from other clubs, then he will move on.
“Van Persie wants to compete for trophies and everything this year looks out of sight.
“It’s very disappointing for a player of his quality. I don’t think he’s enjoying the football United are playing.”
