A top Liverpool finance chief has refused to comment on speculation the club are close to selling Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
The Reds are in talks with the La Liga giants over the sale of the Uruguay international.
However, Liverpool’s chief financial officer Andy Hughes, who held a meeting at a central London office on Friday, refused to confirm a deal is imminent.
As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, he said: “I can’t talk about that. I’m here for a finance meeting.”
