Boss gives Liverpool boost in big time chase

Liverpool have been given a boost in their pursuit of the highly-rated Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Dele Alli.

Alli, who has represented England at under-19 level, has been touted as the next Steven Gerrard, and a Liverpool bid of £3.5 million was rejected by the Dons earlier in the summer.

The Anfield club have been given renewed hope though, as bossPaul  Robinson has conceded that Alli will eventually leave his hometown club.

As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “Dele will continue to be linked with some of the world’s biggest clubs and it’s inevitable that there will be a time when we will have to let him go, whether that be in January, next summer or whenever,’ he said.

“However, for the time being, he remains an MK Dons player and we’ll continue to enjoy watching him progress week-in, week-out here at stadium:MK.’
