Chelsea believe big man deal will be signed and sealed

There has been some reports which have claimed Chelsea believe they have made a breakthrough in their attempt to extend Thibaut Courtois’ contract, according to the Daily Mail website

The Belgian’s existing deal expires in 2016, but the Blues want the goalkeeper to sign fresh terms with the club.

The Daily Mail says both parties are close to agreeing a two-year extension, which would take Courtois deal to the end of the 2017/18 season.

The new deal will include a significant pay increase on his current £30,000-per-week wages.
