Juan Bernat has been attracting interest from Chelsea, but now AC Milan have joined the race, according to reports on the SportsDirectNews website.
It is no secret that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking to add a long-term replacement to the squad as Ashley Cole is seemingly heading out the door this summer, and the Portuguese maestro has targeted Bernat as the ideal candidate.
However, the blues will not have it all their own way as the Italian giants are having an awful campaign as they lie in 12th position of the Serie A standings and are looking to strengthen their squad.
Milan scouts were in attendance at Valencia’s derby win over Villarreal at the Mestalla on the weekend to watch young Bernat, and they reports have claimed a big move is planned in the summer.
His contract is set to expire in June of 2015 and therefore Valencia will be obliged to sell him if they fail to negotiate a new deal this summer in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer next year.
