Chelsea have moved into pole position to Sami Khedira from Real Madrid with Arsenal refusing to meet his £150,000-a-week wage demands.
The Gunners are interested in adding Germany World Cup winner Khedira to their midfield ahead of the new season.
And there had been reports that a £24 million fee had been agreed with Madrid, and he was on his way to North London to complete a deal.
However, the Metro now claim that talks have stalled because of the player’s refusal to alter his wage demands.
And now the Blues are ready to swoop in and bring him to Stamford Bridge.
