Chelsea linked with shock Premier League deal

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois will reportedly stay on loan at La Liga title hopefuls Atletico Madrid for another season, dashing any hope Manchester City had of signing him

According to AS, the 21-year-old is not returning to Stamford Bridge this summer despite establishing himself as one of the hottest properties in European football following a string of impressive performances in Spain.

A source close to City told [football] direct news that they were keen to replicate the Belgium international’s strong understanding with compatriot Vincent Kompany at club level, but their hopes are seemingly dead in the water for at least another year.

Courtois arrived at Chelsea from Genk on a five-year deal in 2011 but has been loaned to Atletico ever since, mainly due to the presence of long-serving number one Petr Cech in west London. (SportsDirectNews)

  1. Mourinho will be more than stupid to think of selling Hazard or Oscar, Courtois after Mata, Shame on him if he think so and Hazard is also stupid to say so.
