There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Frank Lampard wants his Chelsea contract sorted out by June 1, according to the Daily Star website.
The legendary Blues midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and is keen to conclude business so he is able to focus all his attentions on the World Cup for England.
He has been in talks with Chelsea over a new one-year contract for weeks after once again showing that he is still able to give something to the club, despite being 35.
And according to reports the veteran midfielder is in the closing stages of negotiations with Stamford Bridge bosses over a new contract that will extend his stay for 12 months.
Part of the deal will also reportedly see Lampard start to take up a secondary coaching role under Jose Mourinho.
