Chelsea target could still make summer move

Inter midfielder and Chelsea target Fredy Guarin’s future at the Italian club remains in doubt.

The Colombian has suffered an indifferent season that has seen his recent performances heavily criticised by coach Walter Mazzarri, who called Guarin ‘inconsistent’.

Premier League side Chelsea have maintained their interest with Jose Mourinho a huge admirer of the former Porto man and [football] direct newsunderstands that despite ongoing contract talks, Guarin could still leave this summer.

During the 1-0 win over Torino on Sunday at the San Siro, Guarin featured from the start but he drifted in and out of the game, resulting in his substitution on the 63rd minute.

The Serie A club sit fifth in the league but it is widely expected that they will make several changes to their squad in the summer as Mazzarri looks to push the likes of Roma, Juventus and Napoli for the title. (SportsDirectNews)
