Chelsea to do Italian business as blues in talks to get Spanish deal done

Inter Milan are plotting a summer move for Fernando Torres and have the funds to pay the £20million fee Chelsea want, according to the Daily Mail website

Torres has just over two years left on the £150,000-a-week deal he signed three years ago when he arrived from Liverpool for £50million but is edging closer to a summer move, as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a big name signing.

The likes of Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani, Diego Costa and now Robin Van Persie have all been linked but Chelsea must recoup much of their spending to keep within UEFA’s Financial Fair Play restrictions.

And that means Torres will be one of a number of players that are sold, with Inter’s new owner, Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir insisting he will not waste millions on rebuilding the team
