Inter Milan could offer unhappy Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o a way out of Stamford Bridge.
The former Barcelona hitman was not even in the squad for yesterday’s win over Fulham with the player understood to be left seething following Jose Mourinho’s disparaging comments about his dearth of strikers in mid-week.
The Portuguese was recorded having a private conversation where he said “I have a team but no strikers”. The former Real Madrid boss then went on to mock Eto’o by suggesting he was well past his best.
After news of Mourinho’s comments were relayed to Eto’o he was said to be furious and hurt, especially after feeling the pair had a special relationship following their time together at Inter Milan where they won a historic treble.
Eto’o is no stranger to controversy and is renowned for speaking his mind. And after yesterday’s mysterious snub it appears a rift has developed between the pair, fuelling speculation the player will leave Chelsea as soon as the season finishes. (SportsDirectNews)
