Inter Milan star Javier Zanetti has reportedly left the door open for a move to Chelsea at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho has been linked with a surprise move for the aging star, who has racked up an incredible 950 professional appearances during his career.
And despite reports previously suggesting the 40-year-old would finally call it a day at the end of the season, the defender has indicated he will do whatever is in the best interests of the club
“This season I wanted to return from a serious injury, show I can be useful and keep playing,” Zanetti was quoted by the SportsDirectNews website
“The most important thing is the future of this team, qualifying for Europe and finishing the season well. Then we will see, I am here and available.
He added: “The bond between me and Inter will last forever. At the end of this season, thanks to the great relationship I have with Erick Thohir, we will assess what is best for Inter.”
