Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has revealed Juan Manuel Iturbe is beyond their reach leaving the door open for Liverpool.
The 20-year-old Porto attacking midfielder, currently on loan at Hellas Verona, is one of he most promising young talents in world football at the moment.
And his stunning performances have attracted interest from Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, who has sent scouts to watch him on a number of occasions.
Inter Milan though, were reported this week to have entered the race to sign the Argentine star but they have now ruled themselves out of the running.
As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, Ausilio said: “[Iturbe] has a lot of quality, but I think there are many overseas clubs who are tracking him.
“Iturbe is not in our price-range, so I don’t want to create any expectations or take fans for a ride,”
“It’s only right the supporters know what the figures are and in that sense there’s no chance for Iturbe.”
