Alex Oxlade Chamberlains move from Arsenal to Liverpool has filled both the player and his new manager with delight.
The Reds acted swiftly to sign the England man last night after he rejected a move to Chelsea who was prepared to pay him almost double his current salary at Liverpool.
According to Chamberlain, he was delighted to have finally signed for the Reds but does not want to say much as he is currently away on international duty with the English national team. He, however, thanked the FA and his managers for the opportunity to complete the deal.
Liverpool’s manager intimated that he had been interested in Chamberlain since the time he was the manager of Borussia Dortmund. According to the German, he was impressed by Chamberlain’s display and attitude when the Gunners visited Dortmund in the Champions League in 2014.
Chamberlain is expected to compete with the likes of Emre Can and Gigi Wijnaldum for a place in the Red’s midfield.
