Dutchman confirms he wants Liverpool move

Ajax manager Frank de Boer has come out and admitted that would like to manage Liverpool.

The reds are on the up in the game after being out of the limelight for so long, and many managers have now come out and admitted they would love to succeed Brendan Rodgers as boss one day.

De Boer, linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, has built a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young managers having led Ajax to three consecutive Eredivisie titles with a fourth looking likely.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is considering making a second approach for the former Holland international, but the Dutchman doesn’t believe the Catalan giants or Spurs would be the right fit for him and Liverpool could be

As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, he said: “As for the football, the club [Barcelona] is a match for me.

“But do you really think I can teach them? Players like Messi, Neymar, Iniesta, Xavi and Alves? In the club you are more of a people manager.

“Then it would have been more fun to go to Liverpool, since there was improvement to make. Look where Brendan Rodgers is now with the club.”
