Long-term Arsenal target and Lyon star Clement Grenier has skipped training and been left out of Lyon’s squad for their Europa League tie against Mlada Boleslav.
Ligue 1 outfit Lyon have agreed to let Grenier leave if a suitable offer comes in but he is thought to be holding out for a for a switch to the Gunners.
As quoted on the Daily Express website, Lyon boss Hubert Fournier said: “We cannot talk about compensating for his potential departure. Due to his talent, we will not find somebody on the market to replace him because of our financial means.
“We will adapt appropriately if he leaves. For the moment, we have not had any satisfying offers.
“There have been propositions because he is a quality player who is wanted a lot around the world. But they were not perceived to be adequate by the club.
“Also, they were not what Clement wanted in terms of footballing level.”
