French International opens door to Liverpool move after admitting Fresh challenge needed

Liverpool target and Marseille midfielder Mathieu Valbuena has admitted he needs a new challenge.

The 29-year-old has spent eight years with the Ligue 1 club but it has been suggested he won’t be part of new boss Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.

And with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers looking to add some more talent to the club, he sees Valbuena as a great and experienced signing.

As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, Valbuena said: “I know Bielsa by name only.

He’s bringing in an ambitious project. It’s been eight-years that I’ve been at Marseille now.

“People say I’m not trusted by Bielsa but that’s not true. He has his project but I haven’t discussed it with him yet.”
