French International ‘wants Arsenal move’ as Boss confirms target ‘has asked to leave’

Arsenal have been encouraged to step up their interest in Clement Grenier, as the Frenchman wants a move to the Emirates.

Lyon are reluctant to let Grenier leave but have agreed that the 23-year-old can depart to further his career if the right offer comes in.

And despite interest from Newcastle, Everton and Southampton, the midfielder is hoping to hear from the Gunners.

And Lyon are willing to let him leave for the right offer.

As quoted on the Daily Star website, Lyon boss Hubert Fournier said: “We have already agreed with certain players that they can leave if a good offer presents itself.

For the others, it is out of the question to speak about a departure.

“For those who are allowed to leave, there is Clement Grenier, who asked us at the end of the season so that he could find a club to make a progression in terms of footballing level.

  1. Can anyone tell me where all the midfield’s will play
in Arsenal? Presently, we have what 7-8 if you include Theo and Gnabry and not Diaby. Where do we fit another, What, bench? We are unwilling to give Remy 80k per week yet have ppl we are unlikely to use. Questionable management.
