Chelsea midfielder Marko Marin has said he wants to remain at Sevilla.
The German winger, who celebrates his 25th birthday on Thursday, insists he could happily stay at the Spanish club for life.
Chelsea snapped up Marin for £7million in 2012 but he made just 16 appearances for the Blues, netting once against Wigan.
And now – if any confirmation were needed – it looks as if those appearances will not be added to, with Marin revealing he is more than happy with his temporary club.
‘If both Sevilla and me are happy to stay I can stay here forever,’ Marin told Spanish paper Estadio Deportivo.
‘We’ll see what happens in the summer. The first is to play, being fit and helping the team in the end of the season and then we will decide.
‘If the fans want, Monchi (the sporting director) wants and the coach wants, why not?’ Marin added.
‘But the most important thing is to be fit and play.
‘Speaking about a permanent move before that is not worthy because I can’t help the team if I do not play.’ (Daily Mail)
It would not be a shock to see this happen
