Giants keen to get swap deal done as Man United edge closer to World-class ace

Manchester United could offer Nani to Portuguese side Benfica in a bid to land centre-back Ezequiel Garay.

It is no secret that United are looking to add a world-class centre-back to the squad, with Nemanja Vidic on his way and Rio Ferdinand coming to the end of his playing career.

And although Nani has been a key player for the Red Devils since joining the club in 2007, he is no longer part of the club’s plans and could be used as a make-weight as David Moyes plots to bring in Garay, according to the SportsDirectNews website.

The Argentine defender has long been one of United’s top targets in defence, and it is thought that Benfica could be interested in signing Nani if they are to lose one of their most important players.
