Giants to ‘allow’ Man United £40 million target to leave this summer

There has been some reports on the TalkSport website which have revealed Spanish football expert Graham Hunter believes Barcelona could allow midfielder Cesc Fabregas to leave.

It is no secret that David Moyes’s successor is going to get a massive £200 million transfer kitty to revamp the squad in the summer, and Fabregas is one that has been linked with the club for a while.

However, the club’s hopes of a move for the Spain international were dented with news FIFA had slapped the Catalan club with a transfer ban.

But with the ban since being lifted, Hunter believes United have a good chance of bringing the Spaniard back to the Premier League.

As quoted on the TalkSport website, he said: “They wanted him and thought they could get him last year.

“But Barcelona are more open to the idea of selling now than they were last summer.

“The interest from Manchester United was concrete last season and it has remained concrete.

“There has to be a chance for them to sign him now that Barcelona have the power to buy again after the FIFA ban has been suspended.”
