Chelsea Ladies striker Eni Aluko is backing Ji So-Yun to light up the FA Women’s Super League next season.
The attacking midfielder, who has scored 26 international goals in 55 appearances for South Korea, joined Chelsea on a two-year contract from World Club champions INAC Kobe Leonessa last month.
And Aluko believes the 22-year-old’s creativity and technical ability will help Chelsea find the back of the net more freely next season.
“Ji is a fantastic player and I’m just really, really excited to be playing with her,” Aluko told skysports.com. “I think she single-handedly controlled the game when she played against us for Leonessa in Japan.
“She’s one of those players who you can give the ball to regardless of the situation on the pitch and you know she will retain the ball and keep possession.
“It’s going to take her a while to get used to the physical side of the game here but she can absorb pressure really well. I think she’s so good on the ball that it is really difficult for players to get near to her.
“She is going to create goals for people as well so I’m just really excited. She’s a great signing for us and someone who I think is really going to help us.” (Sky Sports)
