Highly in-demand hitman to give Liverpool answer very soon as Rodgers looks to get deal done

Reports have revealed FC Porto striker and Liverpool target Jackson Martinez says he will only consider his future once Colombia’s World Cup campaign is over.

The 27-year-old has been linked with moves to the likes of Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid in the last few months after an impressive 18 months at Porto.

He has taken Portuguese football by storm, netting 46 goals in 60 league appearances during his first two seasons.

However, despite the speculation surrounding his future, he insists his only concern at this moment in time is the World Cup.

As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “It is not about me, we are just focused and together as a team,” said Martinez.

“I will not think about my future until after the World Cup. I am happy with my work so far, but we are together as a team and that is very important for us.”
