One thing to always bring a smile or two to Arsenal fans, is when they they hear news that one or more of their promising young players have snubbed interest from fellow Premier League rivals – notably a select 2/3 clubs that will always bring a cheer from Arsenal fans hearing that they have been snubbed in favour of staying in North London with them.
Young Arsenal starlet Issac Hayden has spoken with the ‘Hull Daily Mail’ in which he talks about the interest in him from several clubs to of taken him on loan for the season before choosing to go out on loan to Hull City.
“As soon as I got the nod, and the choice between Manchester United and Arsenal, it was an easy decision.
“I said ‘Drive me there now!’ as soon as I knew they were interested. It felt like a once in a lifetime opportunity.
“Manchester United were keen but when you’re 13 and living in London with your parents, it was a no brainer.
“I was 14 when I joined Arsenal. I’d been at Southend before from the age of under-10s. We played Arsenal in a friendly at under-13s and they said they’d take me.
“They were my team growing up because my idol was Patrick Vieira. I always watched his game and studied what he did.”
Some might argue now with the way the Arsenal transfer window went this summer, quite a few young and up coming player’s may get their chances to play for the club at some point this season whether in the league or cup games, and Arsenal certainly do have a vast quantity at present of upcoming young player’s who are out on loan currently and receiving praise from their respective manager’s at their loan clubs.
