Italian tactician on course to make big Arsenal move

There has been some reports which have claimed Juventus manager Antonio Conte could be in contention to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal

The Italian tactician has done great work with Juve, whom he also played for during his playing career, winning two Serie A titles in a row and looking set for a third this season after continued dominance in Italy’s top flight.

The 44-year-old’s work has not gone unnoticed, with both Manchester United and Monaco showing an interest in securing his services this summer as doubts remain over their current managers, though Arsenal are also keen on him as Wenger considers his future at the Emirates Stadium.

The Frenchman has stalled on signing a new contract with the Gunners and would be free to leave the club at the end of the season, and was rumoured to have informed the players of his decision to retire following their recent 6-0 loss at Chelsea.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is also believed to be a leading contender for the role as the Arsenal board weigh up possible alternatives to Wenger, though they are keen to keep the long-serving boss at the club for a little longer. (SportsDirectNews)
