Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright has urged his old club to buy Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.
The pint-sized Mexican, who was a second-half substitute in today’s trip to Everton, has failed to secure regular first-team football under boss David Moyes this term and could be on the move when the summer transfer window opens.
Arsenal are desperately short of strikers and are likely to bring in reinforcements at the end of the season to provide first-choice targetman Olivier Giroud with genuine competition.
Wright, who is the Gunners’ second-highest goalscorer of all-time behind Frenchman Thierry Henry, thinks the 25-year-old is a perfect answer to the north London outfit’s lack of hitmen.
He also believes Hernandez is less than happy at Old Trafford and could welcome a fresh challenge at a new club.
Wright said on Twitter: “Arsenal, go and buy Hernandez from United and put him out of his misery. He will score the goals!” (SportsDirectNews)
He could be a great buy.
