Reports have claimed Liverpool have been given a boost in their chase for PSG star Edinson Cavani.
The forward is thought to be unhappy with his role at current club Paris Saint-German, as he is sick of playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But despite his and the team’s success last season, the 27-year-old has gone largely under the radar since his arrival and rumours have suggested the Premier League is the wantaway striker’s preferred destination.
And with PSG reportedly closing in on a deal for Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria, it looks even more likely that Cavani will be moving on this summer, according to the Daily Star website.
And that could open the door for Liverpool, who are looking to sign up a replacement for Luis Suarez.
