Liverpool get summer response in ambitious £25 million move

Liverpool target Marcelo has played down the chances of him leaving Real Madrid in the summer.

There has been quite a few reports in the media as of late which have claimed Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was keen to add the £25 million rated Brazilian to his squad, as he looks to improve an area of the field that he is pretty poor.

However, Marcelo has no intention of quitting the Spanish capital yet.

As quoted on the TalkSport website, he said: “My best memory of football was when I signed for Real Madrid because I did not expect it.

“It was a spectacular moment. I’ve been here since I was 18, I’m from Madrid in practice and I am proud to be one of the captains of Real Madrid.”
