Liverpool have door opened as Chairman confirms he will 26-goal target for right price

Liverpool have been boosted by Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins in their bid to land striker Wilfried Bony.

It is no secret that Brendan Rodgers is still on the look-out for new players, especially a striker, after losing Luis Suarez to Barcelona.

And he has been heavily linked with Bony, who netted 26-goals in all competitions last season.

Now the Swans chairman revealed that the club are open to offers from Champions League clubs.

As quoted on the Metro website, he said: “Wilfried Bony is a fantastic professional. If a top Champions League club comes in, and puts the right offer on the table, then of course we will speak to him.

“There are no issues with Bony. He’s a great guy to have around the club.

“As much as we want players to stay with us for a number of years, we have to be open.”
