Liverpool hope Brazilian makes Anfield move

Liverpool hope to land Sao Paulo striker Alexandre Pato this summer

A source close to the Reds told FDN that boss Brendan Rodgers feels the forward would link up well with playmaker Coutinho and can also provide vital competition for places up front for what Liverpool hope will be a Champions League campaign.

The Merseyside outfit are currently well-placed to secure a tilt at the European Cup next term, as they look likely to at worst seal fourth place in the Premier League table or even launch a title bid.

A problematic campaign for Pato has seen the ex-AC Milan hitman leave Corinthians after supporters attempted to attack him at the club’s training ground following the side’s poor run of form. (SportsDirectNews)

The Brazilian star would not cost a whole load of money and would add to the already impressive attack at Anfield
