Liverpool are keen to compete with Bayern Munich for the signing of promising star Robert Muric
The Dinamo Zagreb starlet, 18, has a contract with his current club until 2015, though recent stories from the Croatian press suggest he can still break away from that contract and leave on a free transfer this summer.
Bayern are reportedly winning the race for his signature at this point, though Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has been suitably impressed by the teenager’s abilities as well, and will hope to hijack a move.
The Reds boss has done well to integrate young players into his first team since joining the club, and that may tempt Muric to consider a switch to Anfield over the Allianz Arena, where he would face a great deal of competition for places in Pep Guardiola’s star-studded squad.
With top players such as Toni Kroos, Thomas Mueller and Xherdan Shaqiri not guaranteed games at the moment, it would be difficult for any youngster to break into that team, and Muric’s skillful style of play could develop well at Liverpool. (SportsDirectNews)
