Liverpool will battle for the signature of Benfica’s Lazar Markovic this coming summer.
The Blues are chasing the 19-year-old Serbian forward according to reports and are preparing a bid in the region of £12million.
However, the Blues will face competition from Liverpool and PSG for Markovic, according to Le 10 Sport.
Markovic, who has a reported release clause in his contract at Benfica of €40 million, only joined the Portuguese club last summer. He has scored seven goals in his 29 appearances so far for Benfica.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is looking at bolstering his striking options in the summer after strengthening elsewhere in January. Liverpool are also looking at all possibilities that can come in and aid strike pair Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge. (SportsDirectNews)
