Liverpool linked with shock summer business with Barcelona

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers could be a contender to replace Gerardo Martino at Barcelona next season

The Northern Irishman has done superb work at Anfield this season, turning the Reds into serious Premier League title challengers after several years of struggling outside the top four.

While his predecessor Kenny Dalglish spent big money on unsuccessful signings such as Andy Carroll, Stewart Downing and Charlie Adam, Rodgers has made some astute purchases such as Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, and brought through youngsters such as Raheem Sterling to tremendous success.

Liverpool’s style of football has also improved under Rodgers’ guidance, and their attack-minded, technical style of play will certainly appeal to the Barcelona board and fans, who have been disillusioned with some of the performances under Martino this term. (SportsDirectNews)

It would be a massive shock to see this happen
