Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is believed to be very keen on signing Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M’Vila, who is set to leave in the summer.
Rodgers is looking to spend big this summer and as admitted that some class players will be brought in, to improve an already impressive squad.
And now he will be given a boost as the Russian club are changing their transfer and selection strategy, with an emphasis on young Russian talent ahead of foreign imports, and that means the likes of M’Vila will be one of the big names that walk out the door.
And according to the TalkSport website, Liverpool are set to challenge their rivals for M’Vila’s signature with boss Rodgers believed to be a big fan of the 23-year-old, who has only featured twice in the Europa League this calendar year.
The French midfielder was photographed sitting among the Liverpool fans during the Merseyside derby at Everton back in November, and Rodgers is on the lookout for a new central midfielder to bolster his option.
