Liverpool target admits ‘Premier League dream’ as Rodgers plots summer swoop

Reports have revealed Belgium youngster Divock Origi has welcomed attention from the likes of Liverpool.

The 19-year-old, who plays in France for Lille, scored the only goal in Belgium’s 1-0 win over Russia to see them progress to the knock-out stages of the World Cup on Sunday.

And this latest performance is one of many that have impressed chasing scouts over the months, as the Reds look to add some more fresh talent to their squad.

Now Origi admits that a move to the Premier League is something he’s always wanted, but insists for the moment he remains focused on Belgium.

As quoted on the Metro website, he said: “As a little boy I dreamed of playing in the Premier League, but I’m still young.

“Now I’m in an important tournament so I try to focus on the team, then my entourage will see with the club and will see what I do.”
