Real Madrid are weighing up a move for Manchester City right-back Pablo Zabaleta
The Spanish giants are on the lookout for a new signing on the right-hand side of their defence this summer, with manager Carlo Ancelotti currently unconvinced by his options of Alvaro Arbeloa and Daniel Carvajal in that position.
Both players have been linked with moves away from the Bernabeu, while the likes of Arsenal’s Bacary Sagna and Porto’s Danilo have been touted as possible replacements in that position.
However, Real could now be set to try their luck in an ambitious move for Zabaleta, who has been one of City’s star performers for the last few seasons, making the right-back position his own after seeing off competition from Micah Richards for a starting place.
The Argentine has played in La Liga before, spending three years with Espanyol before moving to City in 2008, and could be a good experienced option for Ancelotti’s side, though they will surely have to pay big money to land him. (SportsDirectNews)
It would be a shock to see him leave City
