Reports have come out and claimed Manchester City target Sergio Ramos was the subject of a huge bid from a Premier League club, according to his agent.
The Spanish international has two years left to run on his current contract at the Bernabeu and Rene Ramos, the defender’s brother and agent, claims an unnamed English side – believed to be Manchester City – tried to tempt the 27-year-old away with a mammoth offer.
‘Out of respect to the club I will only say that they are English,’ he told Marca when quizzed on a rumoured bid for this brother.
‘The offers are very, very big in economical terms, but we are at the club we want to be at. The best in the world.
‘So, more than once, I had to say “Thanks very much for your interest, but no”. I reiterate, right now, leaving Real Madrid is a non-starter.’ (Metro)
The Etihad giants are keen on the man and may keep a very close eye, as they could try to tempt him to the Premier League if a deal is not offered.
