Barcelona are reportedly eyeing up an ambitious summer move for Manchester City big man Vincent Kompany.
The Catalan club are in the market for a world-class centre-back, with iconic skipper Carles Puyol having announced he will leave the Camp Nou this summer.
That has seen Barca’s scouting team intensify their focus on acquiring a big-name defender at the end of the season, and City’s cultured central defender is now a serious target.
The Belgian has become an integral player and leader with City since joining from Hamburg in 2008 and boss Manuel Pellegrini would not want to lose him.
But if City fail to win the Premier League this season, Barca may believe they can nab him.
Kompany would not come cheap, however, with the Etihad club valuing him at close to £35 million. (SportsDirectNews)
