Man United look to bring tough tackling Dutchman to England

Manchester United are still keen on Roma man Kevin Strootman.

With question marks over Marouane Fellaini, Tom Cleverley and Darren Fletcher, and Carrick approaching the twilight of his career, there has been talk boss David Moyes will have a massive £200 million to spend on new players.

But while a player like Arturo Vidal would be high on the wanted list of most fans, the Red Devils may have to set their sights a tad lower.

And the Daily Mirror has linked them with a move for Strootman, the 23-year-old would be another solid addition to their squad.

He is robust, intelligent and blessed with fine technique, traits which would mean he would take to the Premier League like duck in water.
