Ezequiel Garay’s agent says the Manchester United target could be on his way out of Benfica in the summer.
United have tracked the central defender for a while now, as David Moyes looks for a long-term replacement for the departing Nemanja Vidic and the aging Rio Ferdinand.
And despite reports lining the class star with a move to Zenit, Benfica chose not to entertain any offers for the 27-year-old, and now his agent Rafael Zurro says a move could happen in the summer.
As quoted on the TalkSport website, he said: “Benfica resisted offers because they want to win the league title. It can be a difficult decision to understand but we accept it – we will see what happens in the future,” he said.
“He has only one year left of his contract. Logically there will be headlines in the summer. We’ll see what happens.”
