Man United to do Italian business as giants to offer player-plus cash

Inter Milan could try to prise Javier Hernandez away from Manchester United by offering former Old Trafford target Mateo Kovacic in a part-exchange deal.

The San Siro side earlier this week denied reports that they have sounded out Hernandez, who is believed to be growing increasingly frustrated with his peripheral role under Moyes at Old Trafford.

The Mexican has managed only four league starts this season and could move on this summer as part of the manager’s overhaul of the squad.

Inter are thought to be keen on the 25-year-old and could look to use United’s previous interest in Croatian starlet Kovacic to clinch a deal in the summer.

Kovacic, 19, was on United’s radar during his time at former club Dinamo Zagreb before he moved to Italy in January 2013. (TalkSport)

It will be interesting to see if this happens
