Manchester United want to lure Manchester City playmaker Samir Nasri to Old Trafford.
The champions hope to capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding the Frenchman’s contract situation at the Etihad Stadium by making a second attempt to secure his signature, three years after failing to buy him from Arsenal.
Nasri, who has produced arguably the best football of his career this season, will have only 12 months remaining on his current deal and the title challengers are yet to thrash out an extension.
A source close to United told FDN that manager David Moyes is a big fan of the 26-year-old’s ability to operate anywhere in midfield but knows an approach will be out of the question if the Red Devils fail to secure Champions League qualification. (SportsDirectNews)
It would be a massive shock to see this happen
