Manchester City will listen to offers for defender Matija Nastasic as they close in on a deal for Porto star Eliaquim Mangala, according to the Daily Mail website.
Nastasic, signed from Fiorentina for £12m in 2012, had an injury-hit second season at City and the 21-year-old could find himself as the club’s fourth-choice centre-back.
Boss Manuel Pellegrini is looking to bring in Mangala in a massive £32 million deal, and all indications suggest he will partner Vincent Kompany in the back four.
Now the Daily Mail website claim that City accept that Nastasic could be surplus to requirements, and will sell if the price is right.
And that could open the door for Manchester United to swoop in, as they look to add some quality centre-backs to the defence.
