Barcelona could look to bring former Atletico Madrid striker and Chelsea target Radamel Falcao back to Spain.
The Colombian international has established himself as one of the world’s most lethal finishers in recent seasons, and Barca now appear to have made him their top target as they look to sign a top class centre-forward for next season.
Manager Gerardo Martino is believed to be keen on moving away from the club’s recent approach of fielding ‘false-nines’ such as Lionel Messi, Alexis Sanchez, Neymar and Pedro Rodriguez, and Falcao fits the bill as a traditional penalty box poacher to add some variety to Barca’s front line.
The 28-year-old had a superb record of 70 goals in 91 appearances during his time in Spain with Atletico, and has netted 11 times for Monaco this season, though injuries have disrupted his time in Ligue 1.
Falcao continues to be linked with moves to bigger clubs, with Monaco still a work in progress after only winning promotion to the French top flight last season, and with reports of friction with current manager Claudio Ranieri. (SportsDirectNews)
