Reports have claimed Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has ordered Thibaut Courtois to sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge, according to the Daily Express website
Courtois is in his third season with Atletico Madrid, but is due to return to Chelsea this summer.
However, with his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring in 2016, the Blues are keen to see the 21-year-old put pen-to-paper on fresh terms.
He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, as he has doubts about whether he will be first choice at the London club.
But the blues are keen to keep hold and are looking to extend his contract and will even let him stay put at the Spanish giants id he agrees to put pen to paper.
Atletico owner Miguel Angel Gil Marin has flown to London several times to try and secure Courtois’ services, who has said he will make a decision at the end of the season.
