Chelsea are keeping tabs on the progress of promising young River Plate midfielder Manuel Lanzini
The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the next big things coming out of Argentina at the moment, and has caught the eye of a number of top clubs this season with some fine performances in the River first-team.
A skillful midfield playmaker, Lanzini has been involved in the club’s senior side since 2010, though he also spent a season out on loan at Brazilian club Fluminese in 2011/12.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has spoken of his desire to bring through more youngsters in the Blues starting eleven, with the club having spent large amounts of money in recent years on signing established world class players. (SportsDirectNews)
