Chelsea captain John Terry says talks are still ongoing over a new contract with the club.
Amid growing reports the 33-year-old could move on from Stamford Bridge in the summer, Terry insists he is still desperate to remain in west London.
As quoted on the Metro website, he said: “It’s a club I’ve been at since I was 14 and I want to stay here for the rest of my footballing days.
“Talks are going on, but obviously we’ve had a lot of big games so we’ve not spoken for a few weeks.
“They know I want to stay, I’ve made that very clear to them and hopefully it can be sorted by the end of the season.
“I certainly feel I’ve got something to give next year and after that I don’t know, but I certainly hope so.”
