There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Arsene Wenger is ready to sign a new contract at Arsenal after being handed a £70million transfer war chest, according to the Metro website.

The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of the season and many reports have linked him with a move away, as he has failed to sign the contract that the Gunners had offered him.

However, after talks with the Gunners board, he is ready to sign a new two-year contract, and will be rewarded with a huge £70million transfer kitty.

  1. How many times gave we had this 70 mill spending spree but nothing happens? I would guess Arsenal needs more than money! That is ‘sportsmanship determination’. To win trophies, the team needs focus. Can the board and Wenger set that this nxt season winning a trophy us objective no. 1 please?

  2. I and I’m sure many other Gooners don’t want another 8 years of nowt so I think the club should wait until the end of the season
before Wenger signs that new commitment because judging by
his past record of not winning vital games I don’t trust
him to come up trumps even though our last few games look
more easier than Evertons then of course there’s the Cup Final… If we do get Europe 70 mil ain’t a lot nowadays we’ll need one hellava lot more if we want to challenge for honours.

If we don’t succeed we’ll probably lose some of our best players and the top ones won’t want to join us that’s for
sure. Sorry to be like this but Wenger has made me like this and once again I don’t trust the boss to come up trumps. I’m sure many others who love this club feel exactly how I do.
