There has been some reports which have claimed Arsenal have been given a boost in their chase for Michy Batshuayi, as Standard Liege have admitted Tottenham are not interested in signing their top goalscorer.
The Belgium Under-21 striker is likely to make the step-up to a foreign club in the summer after admitting that he would love a move to the likes of Arsenal this summer.
And reports suggest that Spurs would all be making an offer for the highly-rated 20-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
But Liege owner Roland Duchatelet has given the Gunners a boost after claiming there will be no bid from Spurs.
As quoted on the Daily Express website, he said: “There’s no interest from Tottenham as far as I know,” Duchatelet said.
“I’ve talked to the strong man of Spurs (chairman Daniel Levy) on Thursday and he has confirmed to me that they don’t want to sign Batshuayi.”
